1958 Girl Scout quilt - this is a quilt that was made by our Girl Scout Troop. Each of us embroidered some of the squares, which are the State Birds of each of the (then) 48 States. Dixie Johns' mother embroidered the middle square and then had the quilt assembled and quilted. Some of the participants were: Dixie Johns, Kathy Stone, Cindy Marsh, Marian Eskridge, LuAnn Grammar, Melinda McLane, Mary Sue Henley, Ann Peters, Carol Hicks, Sue Cooper, Katherine Phinney, and Emily Rose (all but 3 of these women attended this mini-reunion).
